In 2010, David partnered with Pedro to found Wheelchair Conversions, born from a shared frustration: traditional wheelchairs were limited to paved surfaces, leaving no reliable options for sand, snow, trails, or uneven terrain. David, a trained engineer, searched tirelessly for a solution that could handle rough terrain — but when none existed, he applied his technical skills to design and build one from scratch.
What began as a passion project quickly evolved into a respected, mission-driven company. Today, Wheelchair Conversions is more than a wheelchair manufacturer — it’s a builder of freedom. Each off-road chair is custom-designed to help individuals go further, explore more, and live without limits.
